Stantec is seeking a part-time/flexible Environmental Compliance Specialist in any US office.Your Key ResponsibilitiesProvide environmental compliance consulting services to government and commercial clientsWork with an interdisciplinary environmental compliance team to provide audit services across the U.S.Serve as an environmental auditor to evaluate diverse facility types for conformance to federal, state, and local regulatory standardsAct independently and as part of a multi-media audit team to ascertain compliance and recommend appropriate action to assure compliance and/or return to complianceAssist with the development of findings, recommendations, and corrective actions to mitigate environmental hazards across various environmental media, including but not limited to, air emissions, potable water, water pollution control, hazardous materials management, solid and hazardous waste management, toxic substances control, etc.Your Capabilities and CredentialsKnowledge of environmental regulatory standards and programsKnowledge of regulatory program areas, including air emissions, potable water, water pollution control, hazardous materials management, solid and hazardous waste management, storage tank management, and toxic substances controlExpected to travel 85% or more of the job time (which will be part-time)Strong written and verbal communication skillsComputer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft SharePoint, and must be willing to learn custom auditing software systemsMust have a valid U.S. driver's license and be able to pass a Federal background investigation and obtain security clearance to work on site at Federal facilitiesDrug screen required for this positionEducation and ExperienceBA or BS Degree in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, or related field3-5 years of experience with performing audits and inspections, supporting compliance with applicable Federal, state, and local regulatory standardsCertified Professional Environmental Auditor (CPEA), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), ISO 14001 Lead Auditor training, or other environmental management certification highly desiredThis description is not a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that may be required of the employee and other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or may be changed at any time with or without notice. Join us and redefine your personal best.Pay Range:Locations in MN, OH, VT, & Various CA, ME, NY, VA Areas-$73,300.00 - $110,000.00 AnnuallyLocations in CO, HI, MD & Various CA, NJ Areas - Min Salary $ 108,000.00 - Max Salary $ 162,000.00Locations in WA, DC & Various CA areas - Min Salary $ 115,900.00 - Max Salary $ 173,800.00Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
