Controller Hybrid in Los Angeles, CA A fast-growing real estate services organization is looking for a Controller to help strengthen the financial backbone of a business in expansion mode. This is a strong fit for a hands-on finance leader who enjoys building structure, improving visibility, and creating processes that can support growth. The person in this role will work closely with executive leadership, influence key finance initiatives, and play an important part in shaping a more scalable accounting function for the future. What You Will Gain Competitive base salary and bonus opportunity Meaningful ownership over accounting operations and reporting Direct exposure to process improvement, systems enhancement, and integration activity A visible role with leadership access and influence Long-term growth potential as the organization continues to scale Core Responsibilities Lead the month end close, financial reporting, and day to day accounting for a growing multi-entity real estate services business Guide consolidations across multiple entities and improve visibility into business performance Build stronger controls, cleaner workflows, and scalable reporting processes that support continued expansion Oversee fiduciary account activity and help maintain accuracy, compliance, and operational discipline Partner with senior leadership on finance priorities, system improvements, and post-acquisition integration work Support banking transitions, entity onboarding, and reporting alignment tied to acquired operations Help create practical procedures that improve reporting consistency and decision support Coach and develop accounting talent while creating structure in a fast-moving environment Collaborate across leadership and operational teams to support company priorities Ideal Background Bring strong experience in controllership or senior accounting leadership within a multi-entity setting Demonstrated success improving accounting processes, close routines, and reporting quality in a scaling organization Able to operate strategically while staying close to the work and driving dependable execution Experience with acquisitions, integrations, or complex entity transitions is strongly valued Background with ERP evaluation, implementation, or major finance system upgrades is a plus Exposure to real estate, property operations, construction, or another asset intensive environment is helpful Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a high standard for accountability Candidate Profile This opportunity is well suited for a builder who brings order to complexity and thrives in growth mode.
