Learning and Development, Senior Specialist

Overview Summary The Learning and Development Senior Specialist supports Lidl's talent management process through high-quality training and employee development. This role also provides essential HR support to advance strategic goals and key business initiatives. Responsibilities Support further development, localization and operational implementation of national and international training and development concepts Develop and implement concepts for training new employees Create and update training documents Update workshop training materials and optimize content Analyze training evaluation and evaluation of training programs, deriving appropriate actions Lead projects in the Learning and Onboarding department Oversee and manage assigned project and/or departments data, ensuring it meets training and/or policy requirements Effectively manage the relationship with all stakeholders Train or guide the work of other team members on occasion Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Proficiency in Google Workspace Strong attention to detail and organizational and project management skills Strong analytical problem-solving skills Ability to work independently Ability to maintain confidentiality and use tact when interacting with employees, managers, and HR colleagues to understand and resolve potentially sensitive issues Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Analyze and optimize HR metrics in partnership with multiple stakeholders Knowledge of Power BI or Looker Studio software Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Sales Operations standards, demonstrating a mastery of store-level organizational procedures to ensure training alignment across all store locations. Education & Experience Required Education, Certifications/ Licenses Bachelor’s degree in related field 2+ years of experience in related field In lieu of a degree, 6+ years of experience in a related field will meet the education and related experience requirements listed above Physical & Travel Requirements Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment, including the store(s), distribution center(s), warehouse(s), and/or corporate office(s) with the capability to switch job functions/roles quickly Ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or seated) more than half the time Ability to maneuver cases of product (lift, move, carry, slide, etc.) up to 30 lbs Ability to operate machinery and/or equipment that requires the constant use of hands/fingers/wrists Ability to spend more than half the time viewing computer monitors Ability to identify and distinguish between colors more than half the time Travel This position commutes between stores, regional offices and/or distribution centers less than 25% of the time This position requires overnight domestic travel less than 25% of the time Anticipated travel will be by car, air, and/or train Benefits At Lidl, we know that in order for our people to do their best, they must be at their best.
