Unit Secretary Position

Barnes Jewish Hospital is seeking a Unit Secretary to work in Labor and Delivery. Ideal applicants will enjoy working in a fast paced environment and great customer service skills.

Full-Time position

Shift - 3x12s Night shift - 7p to 7:00a 3rd weekend rotation Holiday Rotation

The Labor and Delivery department at Barnes-Jewish Hospital is a 23-bed unit with spacious labor, delivery, and recovery suites which adds to the soothing, safe and exceptional patient experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

The Unit Secretary performs clerical duties supporting the operations of the patient care team.

Responsibilities

• Supports the clinical operations by providing customer service and clerical support.
• Transcribes physician orders as appropriate with close attention to detail.
• Notifies appropriate nurse when STAT orders are written or when coordinating tests and procedures. Communicates new orders to the healthcare team as appropriate.
