Your day as a traveling welder

Clock in for a 1st or 2nd shift and get your station ready. You’ll review blueprints and measurements, stage heavy-gauge steel parts, and plan your weld sequence. From fuel tanks to frames and enclosures, you’ll perform MIG (GMAW) welding in flat, vertical, and overhead positions, ensuring each bead meets safety and quality standards. Throughout the day, you’ll clamp, tack, grind, and assemble components, then inspect your finished work and troubleshoot basic issues before moving to the next build.

Role snapshot

• Location: Greenfield, WI
• Compensation: $22/hour + $100/day per diem for days worked
• Schedule: 1st or 2nd shift; up to 60 hours/week
• Overtime: Additional OT may be available with supervisor approval

What you’ll build and how

• MIG weld heavy-gauge steel components, including fuel tanks, frames, and enclosures
• Operate in multiple positions: flat, vertical, and overhead
• Interpret blueprints and take accurate measurements to guide fabrication
• Clamp, position, tack, grind, and assemble parts for final fit-up
• Inspect completed welds and address routine issues
• Uphold strict safety and quality procedures

What you bring

• MIG/GMAW welding experience preferred
• Confidence reading blueprints and using a tape measure
• Strong attention to detail and a learning mindset
• Reliable, collaborative teammate
• Willing to work 1st or 2nd shift and overtime

Requirements - Pass background check and 5-panel drug test.

• Pass pre-employment physical.
• Pass written test and basic weld test on first day.
