Supplier Quality Technician

Supplier Quality Technician Under the direction of the Quality Supervisor, the Supplier Quality Technician will maintain inspection of incoming materials and components. Supports the maintenance of supplier controls in partnership with the Supplier Quality Engineer and other operations team members. Essential duties and responsibilities: Performs receiving inspection on incoming materials and components. Retains and archives supplier material certificates, certificates of conformance, inspection data, etc. in accordance with applicable procedures. Monitors and updates inspections plans in the ERP system based on engineering changes or supplier performance. Identifies, segregates, and dispositions nonconforming materials received from suppliers. Supports the Supplier Quality Engineer with: Determining supplier at fault issues identified in production Gathering, reviewing, and retaining supplier PPAP deliverables Communicating with suppliers in relation to nonconformance investigations and returns Collecting supplier performance data for monitoring purposes Reviewing part specifications to define, create and set up inspection plans An individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above. Qualifications: Education: Highschool Diploma or Equivalent Experience and/or Training: 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment Blueprint reading Use of measurement tools, including Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Intermediate-level Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) Familiarity with PPAP processes Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel Broad understanding of materials, manufacturing technologies and processes preferred Proficiency with electronic ERP systems and inspection management systems preferred Physical and mental demands: Continuous: Sitting, seeing, hearing, speaking, reading, computer use, comprehension Frequent: Problem solving, reasoning, complex information processing, fine motor skills for manipulating tools or equipment, walk and stand for inspections Occasional: Decision making Intermittent: Lifting up to 30 lbs The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
