Schedule: Full-time, 1800 billable requirement, Hybrid 3/2, flexible with schedule

Salary: $175,000 to $225,000 per year (commensurate with experience)


The Client:

A rapidly expanding Am Law 200 firm with a strong national presence is seeking an experienced Construction Litigation Attorney to join its Miami office. With its recent acquisition of a boutique civil defense firm, the firm is reinforcing its capabilities in professional liability, construction, and insurance-related litigation. This is a unique opportunity for a highly skilled litigator to play a key role in a growing practice, handling complex construction disputes with autonomy.

Description:

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience handling construction litigation matters, including contract disputes, defect claims, insurance-related litigation, and professional liability defense for contractors, architects, and engineers. This role requires an attorney who can work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment. The position offers a high level of responsibility, including client interaction, case strategy development, and trial preparation.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all aspects of construction litigation from inception to resolution.
• Represent contractors, developers, design professionals, and insurers in disputes involving defects, delays, and contract enforcement.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests; conduct depositions and hearings.
• Develop litigation strategies and provide risk assessments to clients.
• Manage a caseload independently while maintaining strong client relationships.
• Participate in mediation, arbitration, and trial proceedings as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience as a practicing attorney.
• At least 3+ years focused on construction litigation preferred.
• Strong litigation experience, including motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Knowledge of construction contracts, insurance coverage, and defect litigation.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases efficiently.
• Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills.
• Active bar license in Florida in good standing
