Process Tech/3rd Shift/Shift Differential

Under the direction of the Molding Manager and Shift team Leader, the Mold Setter is responsible for assuring that injection molding machines are set up and running to quality standards and meeting production and scrap goals.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary at any time.

• Check production process against documented process, which includes all support equipment including blenders, grinders, dryers etc.
• Perform set ups on single and two shots tools
• Load programs install EOAT and troubleshoot for robotic/automation systems
• Perform set-up and troubleshoot for injection molding
• Perform start-up and shut-down procedure
• Utilize in cavity mold sensors for troubleshooting and matching processes
• Verify setting are accurate
• Inspect parts in accordance with establish quality plans
• Follow machine shut down procedures as specified which may include the following; close hopper throat valve, turn off heating and cooling systems, retract carriage and purge machine and ensure machines and areas around them are clean and free of all debris (resin pellets, molded parts, water, oil, etc.) after each setup is completed

QUALIFICATIONS

· Must have strong written and verbal communication skills

o Ability to communicate in English required.

• High school diploma or equivalency, required
• 3+ years’ experience as a Mold Setter preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent mechanical skills
• Excellent troubleshooting skills

Compensation details: 35-38 Hourly Wage
