Our client is a Melbourne-based plumbing, flood restoration and renovation business servicing customers across Victoria. The business has a significant existing customer base and untapped opportunity within its CRM. The Digital Marketing Specialist will take full ownership of day-to-day marketing activity, working closely with the Director and Business Manager. The role will plan, create, execute and analyse campaigns across Meta and Mailchimp, build segmented customer lists from AroFlo, and turn marketing activity into a consistent flow of leads, repeat bookings and re-engaged past customers.

This role is ideal for a capable marketing all-rounder who is creative, commercially aware and highly independent. The successful candidate will be trusted to manage their own workload between regular check-ins, bring campaign ideas to the table and explain what is working, what is not and what should happen next.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Ideally 3-4 years of relevant digital marketing experience; however, candidates with exceptional demonstrated skills, campaign experience and a strong portfolio will also be considered.
• Proven hands-on experience across content creation, copywriting, graphic design, email marketing and social media management.
• Confident daily user of Canva, with the ability to create polished social, email and print assets and perform basic photo/video editing.
• Hands-on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) experience covering organic content and paid advertising, including audience targeting, creative testing, retargeting, tracking and attribution.
• Hands-on Mailchimp experience including campaign build, list segmentation, basic automations, list hygiene and results reporting; comparable email platforms may also be considered.
• Comfortable working with CRM/customer data, extracting information and building useful segmented marketing lists. AroFlo experience is not required; training will be provided.
• Able to interpret campaign data and clearly explain what worked, what did not and what should be tested or improved next.
• Fluent, professional written and spoken English with excellent spelling, grammar and attention to detail in customer-facing content.
• Self-motivated, reliable and comfortable working independently with only 3-4 scheduled check-ins per week.
• Proactive and able to bring original campaign ideas rather than waiting to be told what to do.
• Comfortable being measured against lead-generation, engagement, database and campaign-performance KPIs.
• Experience in trades, home services, property management or a field-service CRM such as AroFlo, ServiceM8, Fergus or simPRO would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Working knowledge of SEO and/or Google Ads would be advantageous but is not essential.

Responsibilities:

• Source customer data from AroFlo and build and maintain segmented marketing lists for Property Managers, Owners Corporation Managers, past plumbing clients, renovation enquiries, split-system/air-con customers and other relevant groups.
• Design and run re-engagement campaigns for past customers, including service reminders, annual air-con/heating servicing and seasonal offers, with the goal of generating warm leads and repeat bookings.
• Plan, create and schedule Instagram and Facebook content to strengthen brand visibility, engagement and new-customer acquisition.
• Manage Meta paid advertising end-to-end, including campaign setup, targeting, creative testing, retargeting, tracking, attribution and performance analysis.
• Build and send Mailchimp campaigns for ongoing customer engagement and re-engagement, including list hygiene, segmentation, basic automations and reporting.
• Design marketing assets and edit photos/video in Canva or similar tools for social, email and print use.
• Maintain and grow customer databases by adding new contacts, keeping records current and creating new segmented lists as business needs evolve.
• Generate a consistent flow of marketing-driven leads and enquiries for the business.
• Analyse performance after each email, social and paid campaign and translate the data into clear business takeaways and next actions.
• Proactively propose campaign ideas and ways to improve The Esteem Group's marketing, market position and visibility.
• Apply SEO and Google Ads knowledge where relevant to support the wider marketing effort.
• Provide regular updates to Carmen Haley and the Director through 3-4 scheduled check-ins per week while independently managing day-to-day priorities, deadlines and deliverables.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Re-engagement of past customers: Build segmented AroFlo marketing lists and convert dormant customers into campaign engagement and booked services. Numeric targets to be established once baseline data is understood.
• Email campaign performance: Run at least two Mailchimp campaigns per month and report on open rates, click rates and results, with benchmarks refined after the initial baseline period.
• Social media output and engagement: Maintain an agreed posting cadence across Instagram and Facebook and demonstrate month-on-month improvement in engagement and audience growth.
• Lead generation and pipeline contribution: Track marketing-sourced leads and enquiries from ads, social, email and re-engagement activity, with lead source clearly attributed.
• Accuracy and database hygiene: Maintain current, correctly segmented CRM/marketing lists and ensure published customer-facing content is free from material spelling and grammar errors.

Interview Process Shortlisted candidates should be prepared to share their own campaign ideas and explain how they would approach re-engaging a database of past trade-services customers. This will be used to assess strategic thinking, creativity and fit for an independent, self-directed role.
