As a Special Education Physical Therapist, you’ll deliver individualized therapy services to help students overcome physical challenges, maximize their independence, and participate actively in their educational environments. This part-time, contract opportunity allows you to collaborate closely with educators, administrators, and families—making a direct difference in students’ daily lives.

What we’re looking for:

• Current, valid licensure as a Physical Therapist
• Experience working in school environments or with pediatric populations
• Knowledge of special education processes, IEP development, and goal writing
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Adaptability and resourcefulness in dynamic school settings

Your day-to-day responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments, write reports, and develop intervention plans for students with physical needs
• Deliver hands-on therapy focused on improving mobility, strength, and participation in school activities
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and administrators (including at the Education and Administration Center)
• Attend IEP meetings and provide expert recommendations for accommodations or adaptive equipment
• Maintain thorough documentation and progress monitoring for each assigned student
• Educate and empower staff and families on strategies to reinforce therapy goals
