Job Summary
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) Technician located in Charleston, South Carolina. This position involves supporting the surgical team during cardiac procedures, maintaining aseptic techniques, and handling equipment and supplies necessary for operative cases. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12 weeks, 40 hours per week; Day Shift, 8-hour shifts from 0630 to 1500, with 2 weekday calls and every 3rd to 4th weekend call
• Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED; completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist educational program or an approved Surgical Technology training program through U.S. Military Training; NBSTSA-Certified Surgical Technologist (CST); BLS certification; familiarity with operating room procedures, safety policies, and clinical skills; minimal to no experience required
• Preferred Qualifications: N/A
• Float: Not applicable
• Additional Information: Must have cardiac Operating Room (OR) experience with specific engagement in open heart procedures. Position involves frequent standing, lifting/moving patients up to 50 lbs, exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and requires working under stressful conditions, deadlines, or irregular hours. Limited access to Medication Rooms; medications should not be handled.
