Hiring: Repair / Manufacturing Engineer – Gas Turbine Components

Location: Greenville, SC
Work Environment: Manufacturing / Service Center

Contract Duration: Approximately 12 Months (Possible multi-year extension and conversion to Full time based on performance)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours/week
Pay Rate: $ 48/hr + 50% Health Insurance (Medical + Dental + Vision)

We are seeking a motivated Repair / Manufacturing Engineer to support repair engineering, manufacturing quality, and continuous improvement activities for gas turbine components. This position will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to improve repair processes and ensure high-quality execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage repair qualifications for the Greenville Service Center, ensuring compliance, quality, and process control.
• Analyze and resolve Repair Non-Conformance Notifications (NCNs) accurately and in a timely manner.
• Provide daily engineering support for Built-in Quality (BIQ) initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Design Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Repair Technology.
• Recommend improvements and updates to Repair Engineering Instructions (REIs) for gas turbine components.
• Participate in Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and engineering processes.
• Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations related to manufacturing, repair, quality, and process issues.
• Assist with maintaining and improving engineering processes and documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline from an accredited university.
• Experience supporting a manufacturing environment.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, execution, and process rigor.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and manufacturing teams.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience or relevant project-based knowledge in gas turbine design, repair, manufacturing, or services.
• Coursework, internships, or practical experience related to gas turbine design, repair, manufacturing, or service operations.
• Academic or hands-on experience with process development, including:
• • Fixture development
  • Machining (mills/EDMs)
  • Laser applications such as cladding or ablation
  • Joining and brazing
  • Coating processes
  • Inspection technologies
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and/or electrical drawings.
• Familiarity with Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Kaizen, Lean, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Self-motivated and comfortable challenging existing processes and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and customers.
