TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Saint Louis, Missouri, 63110!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 1 year of critical care experience or experience in a Level I Trauma Center. License: MO or compact license required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, Vents, IV start, Telemetry, Critical Care. Must-Have: Proficiency in managing complicated postoperative patients including multiple drains, vasoactive drips, mechanical ventilation, and recovery from general anesthesia. Description: The role involves providing care for patients recovering from anesthesia. Night shift nurses are expected to pre-operatively prepare patients for the first cases. Patient ratios are 1 nurse to 2 patients. There is a requirement for 24 hours of call within a 6-week period as needed. First-time travelers are accepted for this position. No weekend shift requirement is in place. Competency in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias is necessary. Experience in utilizing Epic for charting is required. The role entails receiving patients in preoperative assessment. The nursing team will work with a varied surgical patient population including those undergoing minimally invasive procedures and complex cases. It is essential to manage multiple complex patients, even during preoperative phases. The facility is a Level I trauma center and requires RNs to be skilled in advanced critical care procedures. Travelers will float within the service line when necessary. All nurses will be expected to complete required modules prior to starting. This is an essential role where nurses will deliver top-tier patient care in a critical recovery environment.
