Aerotek is hiring CNC Press Brake Operator in Lexington,TN!

Pay: $22+ based on experience

Shift: 2nd and 3rd

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain CNC machinery, including setup and adjustments.
• Set tooling, adjust back gauges, select correct dies, and dial in bend parameters.
• Safely load, position, and support sheet metal to prevent damage or misalignment.
• Interpret technical drawings and work orders for accurate production.
• Monitor machine lubrication, hydraulic pressure, and cleanliness, reporting any mechanical issues.
• Perform quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, tape measures, and mathematical calculations for decimals and fractions.
• Follow strict safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace.
• Identify and report equipment or safety issues to maintain production metrics.
• Assist with materials and supply tracking for inventory support.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and quality.

Essential Skills

• 2 - 3 years of experience in CNC operations in a high-speed manufacturing environment or job shop.
• Strong knowledge of production machinery, including setup and changeover of CNC brake press and laser.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with fabrication, fitting, grinding, and sheet metal operations.
• Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, tape measures, and other measuring tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Schooling or certifications in machining or equivalent experience is ideal.

Work Environment

This role offers positions on the 2nd shift (Monday to Friday, 2:00 - 10:30 pm) and 3rd shift (Monday to Friday, 10:30 pm - 6:30 am) with potential overtime on weekends. Average hours worked are currently 50 - 55 per week, with a goal to reduce this as positions are filled. Uniforms are provided by the company, but personal work clothes like jeans or work pants, short-sleeved shirts, and steel toe boots are acceptable. Some tasks require cut-resistant gloves. The facility is temperature-controlled, clean, and well-organized, with mandatory hearing and eye protection in loud areas.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lexington, TN.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.50/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Lexington,TN.
