Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical, connection-obsessed, and systems-minded Generative AI & SEO Strategist to pioneer, own, and scale our brand visibility across next-generation AI-powered search platforms under a permanent, full-time fully remote engagement framework based anywhere within the United States. Reporting directly to the Manager of SEO and Web, this highly specialized role focuses exclusively on Ncontracts’ organic footprint across Large Language Model (LLM) discovery layers, including ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and emerging answer engines. Shifting completely away from routine metadata edits, basic local list indexing, or passive link tracking spreadsheets, you will run an active Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), and automated visibility testing laboratory—partnering face-to-face with core editorial content creators, product marketing squads, creative designers, and external link-building channels. This position requires an organic search pioneer with 3 to 5 years of craft depth who builds scalable prompt-testing matrices fluidly natively using SEO methodologies, evaluates citation conversion boundaries cleanly across fragmented search platforms via specialized analytics tools, and drives predictive information frameworks confidently to capture dominant visibility in generative search environments.

Key Responsibilities

• AI Visibility and Citation Share Ownership: Monitor, measure, and aggressively grow Ncontracts’ brand citation share and product mentions across LLM search engines natively utilizing SEO and GEO best practices.
• Prompt Library Architecture: Build, manage, and scale per-product prompt libraries to systematically audit, track, and benchmark answer patterns and source selections across distinct AI models.
• Gap and Persona Analysis: Formulate comprehensive buyer persona query structures reflecting natural language search habits, isolating citation deficiencies to implement prioritized remediation blueprints.
• Competitor Intelligence Automation: Build, scale, and optimize automated monitoring trackers to track competitor citation share anomalies and surface emerging visibility trends to marketing leadership.
• Cross-Functional Content Playbooks: Partner directly with content engineering teams to provide data-backed GEO/AEO content guidelines, building frameworks that editorial teams can leverage to optimize content for AI curation.
• Outreach and Link Alignment: Collaborate closely with digital PR and off-page link-building squads to synchronize outreach targets with prioritized AI citation gaps.
• Structured Experimental Testing: Conduct methodical experiments testing varied markup syntaxes, structured document tables, and information formats to isolate what content models maximize engine discovery.
• Performance Dashboards: Own specialized reporting tools using platforms like Profound to maintain actionable, real-time analytics dashboards tracking prompt-level metrics for senior marketing leadership.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of verified professional history operating within SEO, organic performance marketing, digital content strategy, or web analytics environments.
• Direct, hands-on familiarity analyzing AI search platform indexation, model update implications, and citation mechanics via manual or automated workflows natively using SEO frameworks.
• Structured, logical engineering mindset capable of structuring an tracking database and testing routine completely from scratch.
• Outstanding written communication and technical translation depth, enabling clear conversion of complex platform behaviors into practical, actionable editorial briefs.
• Demonstrated capacity to self-direct and collaborate smoothly within a cross-functional marketing ecosystem alongside design, copy, and product marketing units.

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

• Direct operational experience leveraging the Profound monitoring platform and implementing dedicated GEO/AEO metric tracking workflows.
• Experience constructing automated agents, scraper webhooks, or pipeline monitors via n8n, Zapier, or native API connections.
• Comprehensive background in traditional SEO fundamentals, explicitly encompassing advanced on-page optimization, content hierarchy modeling, and off-page domain authority growth.

• Basic JavaScript literacy or general comfort evaluating and dissecting technical API documentation.
