Pharmacy Inventory Specialist Specialty Pharmacy located in New Hyde Park, NY. Full‑Time position – Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 6:00 pm EST. Starting salary: $30.00 per hour and up . Quarterly incentive bonuses. Sign‑On Bonus: $5,000 for employees starting before July 31 2026. $500 bonus for technicians obtaining their CPhT and/or CPhT‑ADV credentials. We serve community, oncology, and hematology physicians, patients, payers, and manufacturers. We are a unique oncology pharmacy model dedicated to meeting and exceeding patient needs. Summary The Pharmacy Inventory Specialist works closely with Pharmacy Technician Supervisors, Pharmacy Fulfillment Manager, Pharmacy Director, and Director of Procurement to ensure all aspects of inventory management at the pharmacy level are complete and accurate. Responsibilities include performing inventory/cycle counts, receiving, ordering, monitoring out‑of‑stock medications, providing root‑cause analysis of inventory discrepancies, and monitoring inventory transactions throughout the Onco360 Network. The role seeks continuous improvements in inventory processes, tracks inventory process failures, manages medication returns, and performs other duties as assigned. Major Responsibilities Participates in orientation, training, and competency assessment. Manages the medication return processes including medication returned to pharmacy, manufacturer returns and replacement product. Receives drugs and supply orders, stocks shelves, rotates stock using FEFO, and removes outdated drugs from inventory. Monitors inventory levels of supplies and drug‑specific care kits to ensure compliance with SOPs. Manages inventory out‑of‑stocks communicating with purchasing as necessary. Completes cycle counts as well as physical inventory and investigates/resolves any active variance. Ensures all inter‑company pharmacy transfers are completed as requested in a timely manner. Maintains a clean and safe pharmacy work environment by complying with policies, procedures, and regulations. Maintains quarantined shelves and processes drug returns in a timely manner to ensure all products are accounted for in inventory. Monitors CPR+ for negative inventory balances, performs root‑cause analysis and reports findings to the team. Responds promptly to recall notifications per company's policies and procedures. Understands USP 800 guidelines and follows safe handling of hazardous materials. Ensures all deliveries are packed as per SOPs, including seasonal cold‑chain packing to protect product integrity. Escalates workflow/process improvement ideas to leadership. Contributes to team effort by completing related tasks such as filling prescriptions, preparing packages for shipment, and other tasks assigned by pharmacy technician supervisors, fulfillment manager or pharmacy director. Performs other duties as assigned. Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards. Education / Learning Experience Required: High school or GED equivalent. Desired: Certified Pharmacy Technician, Associates, or Bachelor degree. Work Experience Required: 2+ years in a Pharmacy or Healthcare setting. Desired: Previous leadership experience. Skills / Knowledge Required: Pharmacy or Healthcare related knowledge, data entry and experience in conjunction with pharmacy. Desired: Specialty pharmacy leadership. Licenses / Certifications Required: Registration with Board of Pharmacy as required by state law. Desired: Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB). Desired Good interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and be flexible. Good organizational skills and detail oriented. Knowledge of medical terminology (including sig codes and Roman numeral), brand and generic names of medications and general pharmacy terminology.
