Job Description
A Residential Electrician works independently, handling wiring installations, electrical repairs, and equipment maintenance primarily on local residential projects such as renovations, repairs, and general maintenance. This role demands daily client interaction, adherence to safety and electrical codes, and skillful interpretation of blueprints to ensure high-quality and compliant electrical work.
Responsibilities
- Install wiring for new residential constructions and renovations
- Perform electrical repairs and troubleshoot issues in residential settings
- Maintain and service electrical equipment to ensure optimum functionality
- Comply with safety standards and local electrical codes
- Interpret blueprints and technical diagrams for accurate installations
- Engage with clients daily to assess needs and provide updates
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in residential electrical work
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in electrical wiring and blueprint reading
- Knowledge of safety standards and troubleshooting techniques
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Effective time management abilities
