HDR is seeking an Advanced Technology for Surface Transportation (ATST) & Funding Intern to help expand our services in the Midwest, with a focus on Missouri and Kansas. The position would report to the ATST (Advanced Technology for Surface Transportation) and Funding Section in Kansas City, Missouri. Provide support on ITS and traffic management system projects, including planning, engineering, design, integration, deployment, operations and maintenance, and communications Automated, Connected, Electric, and Shared (ACES) vehicle projects and emerging technology projects Electric Vehicle (EV) infrastructure planning and siting Grant‑writing assistance Geospatial analysis and mapping Preferred Qualifications Preference given to local candidates Analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry Required Qualifications Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills Basic Microsoft Office skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture is a must What We Believe HDR is our company.
