Construction Quality Control Manager

RQ Construction is hiring experienced Construction Quality Control Managers (CQCMs) to join our growing Field Operations team. This role is a key part of delivering high-quality, on‑time projects for our valued clients – primarily within the Department of Defense sector. Location: Norfolk, VA. Current project assignments require on‑site presence at an active military base. This position may potentially require second‑shift work. Local candidates are preferred, but relocation may be considered. What You’ll Do As a CQCM, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing the project‑specific quality control program. You will oversee quality performance to ensure compliance with contract requirements, maintain thorough and timely documentation, and foster a high level of client satisfaction – all in alignment with our Mission, Vision, and Values. What We Offer Competitive Salary: $115,000‑$140,000/year Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) with Company Match Supportive and growth‑oriented work environment What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Construction, or Building Science preferred 10+ years of experience as a Project Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Construction Manager on comparable projects 3+ years of dedicated experience as a QC Manager Familiarity with EM 385-1-1 safety requirements and experience in hazard identification, safety compliance, and sustainability Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Internet Experience with software such as Viewpoint/Vista and RMS/QCS is preferred Maritime construction experience is a plus About Us Since 1996, we’ve been a leading force in Southern California’s commercial and government Design‑Build market.
