Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain enterprise software solutions following SDLC and architectural standards.
• Develop full-stack applications using Java/Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, and React or Angular.
• Translate business, functional, and technical requirements into scalable and maintainable software solutions.
• Collaborate directly with portfolio managers, traders, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate technical solutions.
• Configure, customize, troubleshoot, and enhance enterprise applications while ensuring quality delivery.
• Lead code reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior developers.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation following organizational standards.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as Amazon Q, GitHub Copilot, or Kiro to improve development efficiency and code quality.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on Java development experience using Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security.
• 5+ years of experience building Microservices and RESTful APIs using Java or Python.
• Experience deploying applications as AWS Lambda functions or containerized workloads.
• Strong experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or similar RDBMS, including writing complex SQL queries, joins, DML, and DDL statements.
• Experience with Docker, Git/GitHub, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or CloudBees.
• Working knowledge of AWS services including EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, and KMS.
• 3+ years of experience with GitLab, Jira, and Terraform.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with portfolio managers, traders, and other investment professionals.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working within Asset Management technology.
• Experience with Portfolio Management Systems (PMS), Order Management Systems (OMS), or similar investment platforms.
• 3+ years of experience supporting Fixed Income securities, including bonds, derivatives, or structured products.
• Front-end development experience using React or Angular.
• Familiarity with AWS services such as ELB, EKS, Glacier, and other cloud-native technologies.
• Experience researching emerging technologies and leading proof-of-concept initiatives.
• Comfortable working with open-source technologies and cloud-native architectures.
