Must-Have: Good communication skills for interaction with nursing staff and other licensed staff. Basic technician experience in filling medication distribution systems. Basic computer skills for prepacking medications and logging into documentation systems. IV training is preferred or willingness to learn IV sterile compounding.

Description: Seeking a technician with IV training who is competent in this area. The position is scheduled for 7 consecutive days on and 7 days off. The pharmacy operates 24 hours daily with a patient census generally ranging from 170 to 200. Distribution tasks include picking and delivering medications to automated distribution systems. Responsibilities also include answering phones, taking inventory on mobile devices, and prepacking medications into unit dose containers. Daily tasks involve checking for medication expirations, returns, and receiving medication deliveries. The pharmacy staff consists of a mix of long-term employees and newer team members. The team fosters a supportive environment with a focus on work-life balance. Monthly team-building activities and hospital community events are part of the department culture. The staff participates in continuing education programs to enhance their skills and knowledge. Team members are motivated and contribute significantly to departmental success.
