Pediatric Dietitian Opportunity

Novant Health Pediatric Endocrinology is seeking a full-time Dietitian to support their pediatric population!

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Job responsibilities include:

• Provide comprehensive outpatient nutrition assessment, intervention, monitoring, and education for pediatric patients across infancy through adolescence
• Deliver evidence-based medical nutrition therapy to children and adolescents with obesity, overweight, and prediabetes, incorporating family-centered counseling approaches
• Provide specialized nutrition care for pediatric hematology and oncology patients, including management of treatment-related nutrition complications and growth concerns
• Interpret pediatric growth trends, nutrition-related laboratory values, and micronutrient status to guide individualized care plans
• Collaborate closely with pediatric multispecialty providers and primary care teams to ensure coordinated, comprehensive nutrition care for children and adolescents

What We're Looking For:

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Bachelors in dietetics, nutrition, foods and nutrition, required. Graduate Degree, preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Clinical Dietitian, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
• Registered Dietitian status by the commission on Dietetic Registration, required.
• Licensed Dietitian in appropriate state, required.
• Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Knowledge, ability and skills to support patient education and patient engagement in self-care management to accommodate cultural diversity, age specific or behavior needs among the patients being served.
• Additional Skills (preferred): Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to relay information to diverse audiences for one-on-one consultations, small and large group presentations; dynamic presence for media interviews, health fairs and other invited presentations/appearances.
