Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant responsible to maintain ledgers, prepare reports, and day-to-day accounting tasks and ensure accurate financial record-keeping.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and reconcile monthly Commissions payments, and generate reports for agents and agencies.
• Act as Accounts Payable backup responsible for prepare and process weekly payment runs (checks, ACH, wire transfers), maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
• Assist Senior Accountants with the day-to-day, monthly and year-end operations of the Accounting Department.
• Reconciles AP report discrepancies and problems.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
• Demonstrate effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Maintain documentation and accounting records.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Attention to detail, accuracy and organization.
• Proven track record of good communication skills.
• Advanced Excel skills, Word, and accounting systems.
• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks; work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related fields.
