Job Summary

We’re hiring  Patient Escorts to assist hospital and ambulatory patients traveling by  wheelchair, stretcher, or hydraulic stretcher to their destinations. This role is highly customer-facing and requires comfort assisting patients while maintaining safety, professionalism, and infection-control standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Escort patients safely and efficiently from Patient Entry Points to their first appointment/destination
• Sanitize wheelchairs before each patient using the Wheelchair High‐Touch Disinfection/Inspection Protocol
• Complete a  Daily Disinfection & Tracking Log for each patient escorted (date/time, equipment info, disinfectant used, destination, etc.)
• Follow equipment and patient-assist checklists when helping patients on/off mobility devices
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and caregivers
• Navigate the campus independently and communicate clearly
• Push patients weighing 200+ lbs via wheelchair as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma (required)
• 1+ year of patient care experience  and heavy customer service experience (required)
• Ability to safely push  at least 200 lbs (required)
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor

Training Schedule (Required)

All new hires must complete training  Monday–Friday, 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM for up to  three weeks (or until training is successfully completed),  regardless of the shift offered .
