divh2Cook Position/h2pCabinet Peaks Medical Center is seeking a cook for our cafe! PRN status./ppThe cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving food for patients, staff, and visitors. Must work in a clean manner following proper food handling techniques. Must maintain and update knowledge of all equipment and supplies used in the dietary department./ppMajor job duties and responsibilities include:/pulliPreparing the meals as assigned following the menu./liliPulling the assigned prep foods./liliActing appropriately as a supervisor on shift when required./liliFood served is high quality./liliCompleting the daily task sheets and other assigned paperwork properly./liliMaintaining the kitchen areas in a clean and orderly manner./liliRestocking supplies if needed./liliReporting any equipment failures./liliUsing chemicals appropriately./liliRefilling all necessary supplies and dispensers as required./liliFollowing cooling procedures correctly./liliWearing protective personal equipment as required./liliParticipating and contributing to department performance improvement and quality programs and initiatives./liliUtilizing attendance systems per organizational and departmental guidelines./liliDoing Meditech reports as assigned./li/ulpSchedule: As needed based on the needs of the department./ppEducational requirements:/ppSafe Serve preferred./ppExperience:/ppPrevious health care cooking experience preferred./ppSkills, knowledge, abilities:/ppMust be able to prepare meals as assigned./ppKnowledge of commercial kitchen equipment./ppAbility to read, write, and speak English./ppAbility to follow written and oral instructions, including basic computer use./ppMust meet all local health regulation requirements including a criminal background investigation and reference inquiry./pp403B retirement benefits available./ppCabinet Peaks Medical Center is committed to providing a safe, efficient, and productive work environment for all employees.
