divh2Practice Receptionist Opportunity/h2pCabinet Peaks Medical Center is looking for a Practice Receptionist to join our Family Medicine Clinic!/ppThe Practice Receptionist provides indirect patient care in the medical office setting as the front office receptionist. This role is responsible for greeting patients as they come in, checking them in as well as verifying all demographic, insurance, and other information is correct, answering phones and triaging all calls throughout the day, providing communication channels from patients to staff members as needed, initiates directives from physicians and practice manager, and all other clerical duties as assigned./ppMajor Job Duties Responsibilities/ppDemonstrates the communication standard of conduct by clearly conveying information and ideas through appropriate mechanisms in a way that engages people and helps them understand and retain the message./ppArranges for the efficient and an orderly admission of patients into electronic system, including verifying all demographic, insurance, and other information is correct./ppDemonstrates the patient centered standard of conduct by making patients and their needs a primary focus of ones actions; developing and sustaining productive patient relationships./ppCollects deposits, copayments, deductibles, and other patient liabilities from patient per policy./ppDemonstrates the commitment to co-workers and team success standard of conduct by actively participating as a member of a team to move the team toward the completion of goals./ppAnswer telephones calls in a polite and professional manner and communicate information to the appropriate personnel./ppSchedule new and follow-up appointments per the guidelines set forth by the Practice Manager and physicians. Planning reminder appointment calls the day prior to a patients appointment./ppComplete first part of billing process per billing department requests, with understanding of ICD-10, CPT codes./ppComplete deposit and batch out eCW at the end of each business day./ppRetrieve all faxed documents and work appropriately and timely and handles all incoming mail and distribution daily./ppEnsure waiting room is kept in an organized manner and that coffee is available to patients and families./ppWork on special projects as requested and approved by the practice manager./ppCommunicate appropriately and clearly to MAs, physicians, and practice manager./ppDemonstrate the ability to be flexible, organized and able to function in and under stressful situations and works well under pressure in a high traffic work environment./ppParticipates in monthly staff meetings, training sessions and annual education sessions, disaster drills, etc./ppSkills, Knowledge, Abilities/ppStrong analytical, problem solving, interpersonal and social skills./ppPossess excellent prioritization, organization, and time management skills./ppAbility to function independently with self-confidence in a clinical office environment./ppAbility to practice with honesty and moral vigor as well as accepts full responsibility for actions./ppOperated with ample verbal, written, and computer skills./ppPossess the skills to communicate clearly and appropriately with colleagues, peers, supervisors, and medical providers./ppEducation Requirements/ppHigh school graduate or equivalent/ppBLS certification preferred; must obtain within 3 months of hire./ppExperience/ppSix (6) months of related work experience in a previous medical office or other related medical practice preferred, but not required./ppSchedule/ppAs needed based on the needs of the department./ppCabinet Peaks Medical Center is committed to providing a safe, efficient, and productive work environment for all employees.
