Tech - X-ray/Rad Tech

Job Description

Job Summary:
Performs diagnostic radiology procedures, including fluoroscopy and image production, to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Ensures patient safety, optimal image quality, and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Operate radiologic and fluoroscopy equipment to produce high-quality images of various anatomical regions.
• Set appropriate exposure factors and position patients correctly in accordance with ALARA principles.
• Prepare and administer contrast materials to patients as needed for specific imaging procedures.
• Assist with specialized procedures and examinations, supporting the radiologist throughout the process.
• Maintain and troubleshoot technical equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.

Qualifications:

• Hold certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or be registry eligible.
• Demonstrate proficiency in operating diverse radiologic and fluoroscopy equipment.
• Possess strong knowledge of anatomy, radiology safety standards, and contrast media administration.
• Be capable of proper patient positioning and handling to maximize image quality.
• Cross-trained in additional modalities per department policy #1080, with applicable state licensing preferred.
