Join our global team to grow your expertise and develop innovative solutions that enable a prosperous and more sustainable society.About the RoleA highly skilled industrial technician who installs, maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots complex machinery and mechanical equipment in manufacturing plants, refineries, power facilities, and other industrial environments. Millwrights ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime by performing precision alignment, fabrication, calibration, and preventive maintenance.Responsibilities:Disassemble, inspect, and assemble compressors, turbines, gearboxes, expanders and other rotating equipmentAssemble machines as per instructed by SupervisorPossess a sufficient quantity of professional hand tools to adequately perform daily assignmentsContinuously upgrade knowledge of projects, materials and procedures to better perform duties including safety cardsReport any instances of spillage, uncontrolled exposure or other related safety issues to their line manager.Ensure the correct use of waste segregation facilities and the efficient use of natural resources and raw materials.Supports, cooperates with, and participates in company-wide LEAN and EHS Management System which includes following all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures.Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalentValid driver's LicenseAbility to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification credentials(TWIC)Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface with personnel from diverse backgrounds at all levels of the organizationStrong mechanical aptitude and ability learn technical and design aspects for Rotating Equipment service and repairsPhysical ability to work in a shop and field environmentsTravel is requiredExperienced in driven equipment repair such as generators, compressors, and pumpsExperienced in alignmentsProfessional presentation, in manner, attitude, appearance, speech, and dependability, to the customer at all times.What We Offer You12 Paid Holidays15 Paid Time Off (PTO) DaysMedical, dental, vision, life & disability401K with 6% company matchEmployee Assistance ProgramEmployee Wellness ProgramNew onsite cafeteria, all meals subsidized (La Porte Service Center)Sulzer is an equal opportunity employer.
