Medical Assistant - Urgent Care - Torrey Pines

This is a full-time benefited position that includes both front office and back office Medical Assistant duties. The schedule consists of 12-hour day shifts, primarily from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., on varying weekdays, and requires working every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday).

What you'll do: The ideal candidate is someone who is adaptable and works well in a team oriented environment. Frequently transport a high volume of patients to ancillary testing areas using a wheelchair or gurney. Someone who can take initiative and be an effective communicator is going to thrive as you continue to grow your skills and knowledge in this teaching environment. Primary responsibilities will include both front and back office duties, point of care testing, EKGs, medication passes, and responding to medical emergencies.

Qualifications: Requirements: Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program, or Medical Assistance Certification, or a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA) Preferred Experience: One year of experience as an MA in an outpatient setting Urgent Care experience
