Senior Tax Manager | Boutique Independent CPA Firm | Hybrid | West Los Angeles, CA
Location: Hybrid — West Los Angeles, CA (2–3 days in office)
Compensation: Up to $225,000 base + discretionary bonus
Requirements: 7-8+ years public accounting tax experience | CPA or EA required
We are a boutique, independently owned CPA and advisory firm based in the West Los Angeles area — 25 professionals, a tight-knit tax team of 12, and a managing partner who is actively involved in the work every single day. Small by design, technical by reputation, and built around the kind of mentorship and succession planning that most firms talk about but rarely deliver.
We are hiring a Senior Tax Manager to join a growing tax practice — someone who wants to be part of something, not just employed by something.

- Technically Strong Group — Small firm, serious work. The tax team punches well above its size across corporate, S-corp, partnership, and individual returns spanning real estate, entertainment, consumer products, manufacturing, professional services, and construction
- Both Advisory and Compliance — This is not a pure compliance role. You will be doing real planning and advisory work alongside return preparation — the kind of work that actually develops your career
- Busy Season That Stays Manageable — Hours peak at 50–55 during busy season and are managed intentionally
- EA or CPA Welcome — EA license is fully respected here. EAs can grow to Partner
What We Are Looking For
- 7-8+ years of public accounting tax experience
- CPA or EA required
- Strong technical foundation across corporate, S-corp, C-corp, and partnership taxation
- Industry experience across real estate, entertainment, professional services, construction, consumer products, or manufacturing a plus
- Experience managing client relationships and supervising tax staff
- Comfortable doing both advisory and compliance work
- Someone who genuinely wants to grow within public accounting — not just collect a paycheck

- Base salary up to $225,000 , commensurate with experience
- Discretionary bonus — typically between 10-15% on average
