Job Summary
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse Location: unspecified. This position involves providing post-operative recovery care to patients within a short-term acute care setting. The role offers opportunities for first-time travelers and requires flexibility to float between units based on clinical needs.

Job Details

• Shift Details: Days shift, 10-hour shifts, with a minimum commitment of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid state license; at least 1 year of PACU experience; certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience, experience with Community Hospital charting systems, and familiarity with caring for bariatric, Vascular, ENT/Eyes, GI, GYN, Neuro, trauma, and pediatric patients.
• Responsibilities: Providing direct patient care in the PACU, managing airway assessment, ventilator support, pain management, arterial line and central line management, blood product administration, and recovery procedures following anesthesia. Handling monitoring and managing pediatric and adult patients, including those recovering from epidural and general anesthesia, with a focus on patient safety and comfort.
• Schedule: Days shifts, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Assistance with float responsibilities; candidates must have reliable transportation; willingness to work holidays and on-call as needed; submission requires responses regarding previous employment at Providence facilities and references.
