Start Date: 9/21/2026 Contract: 13 Weeks Location: Newton, TX Hourly Pay: $ 32.70 Non-taxed Stipend: $1246.00 Weekly Total Pay: $ 2227.00 An occupational therapist (OT) helps people of all ages improve, recover, or maintain the skills needed for daily living and working by developing and implementing personalized treatment plans. OTs assess patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs, teach therapeutic activities, recommend assistive devices, adapt environments, and provide education to patients and their families to help them achieve greater independence and well-being Key Responsibilities: Provide patient care by developing a plan using treatment techniques to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability. Interpret prescriptions, perform an initial evaluation, and establish a treatment plan with functional goals updating them throughout the continuum of care. Periodic and timely written communication to physicians and/or case managers. Determine appropriate discharge management and patient follow-up. Monitor clinic support staff with patient care and administrative assistance. Responsible for documenting all treatment in patient charts and completing all written communications in a timely manner. Maintain compliance with all HIPAA, PHI and OSHA rules and regulations. Perform additional duties as required Responsible for continuing to establish and develop professional relationships with Athletico’s valued referral sources. Promote health and wellness in the professional and community organizations. Accompany patients to their physician visits. Compensation: Weekly Pay (hourly) + Non-taxed Stipend (if eligible) Pay package details provided upon offer Requirements Must have 2 years OT experience Must have LTC or Rehab experience TX State License or Compact required Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification during employment Effective team skills including interaction, support, and respect are required. Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently Excellent communication skills , professionalism, and reliability Ability to learn and apply basic computer skills including locating and opening documents, completing forms, opening and sending e-mail messages.
