Project Manager

Job Summary The Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine is seeking a motivated and professional Project Manager to plan and execute internal operations/non‑technical projects from initiation through delivery. The role involves gathering required data from end users to define objectives, goals, and scope, managing project execution, ensuring all targets and requirements are met on schedule and within budget, and keeping leadership informed of key issues that could impact project completion, budget, or other results. Responsibilities Plan and execute internal operations/non‑technical projects from initiation through delivery. Gather required data from end users to evaluate objectives, goals, and scope that define deliverables. Execute and manage the functional elements of each project, ensuring all targets and requirements are met on schedule and within budget. Work closely with various internal departments, administrators, and faculty to ensure successful project completion. Keep leadership informed of key issues that may impact project completion, budget, or other results. Conduct complex, important work under minimal supervision with a high degree of independent judgment. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) plus 6 years of directly related work experience, or Master’s degree (or equivalent) plus 4 years of directly related work experience. Equivalency statement: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience. Superior organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. General accounting and finance knowledge. University administrative experience. Faculty Academic Affairs experience. Ability to effectively and diplomatically address and resolve complex situations of a sensitive or confidential nature. Preferred Candidate Profile Strong organizational and project management skills. Experience coordinating projects across multiple departments. Demonstrated ability to meet project goals within schedule and budget constraints. Commitment to fostering a culture of compassion, collaboration, innovation, accountability, and integrity.
