Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery

Position Summary Responsible to provide care in accordance with the North Carolina Board of Nursing‑Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, and other standards established by professional groups and regulating bodies. Nursing care will be delivered in accordance with ECU Health and entity‑specific nursing policies, procedures, and professional standards of care/practice. The position includes 12‑hour night shifts at a 0.9 FTE (3 team members). Responsibilities Provide nursing care in accordance with NC Board of Nursing, ANA Standards, and other professional standards. Coordinate nursing care, including assessment data collection, outcome identification, collaborative care planning, implementation of interventions, evaluation of progress, and documentation. Ensure sensitivity to age‑specific and unique needs of patients and families. Promote and evaluate effective functioning of the health care team, collaborating with team members to meet identified needs throughout the episode of care. Delegate tasks and activities as appropriate under the NC Nurse Practice Act. Minimum Requirements Current North Carolina Registered Nurse license or licensure to practice in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact state. American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification. Pay Range Staff Nurse II: $34.00 – $46.75 per hour. Final compensation will be based on career ladder placement. $30K Commitment Bonus Other Information Shift: 12‑hour nights. FTE: 0.9.
