Job Description

The Operations Manager will play a critical leadership role across site operations, with a particular focus on warehousing, logistics, team leadership, safety, and continuous improvement. This individual will become the Plant Manager's key operational partner, allowing greater focus on strategic manufacturing initiatives.

• Lead daily operations across warehousing, inventory, logistics, and site support functions.
• Develop strong relationships across production, distribution, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Promote and maintain a best-in-class safety culture while driving compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
• Manage operational performance through key metrics including productivity, inventory accuracy, safety, quality, and customer service.
• Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and frontline employees while fostering accountability and engagement.
• Identify and implement process improvements, system enhancements, and efficiencies across the operation.
• Support the rollout and optimization of enterprise systems, operational controls, and scalable business processes.

The Successful Applicant

For the Operations Manager we are seeking:

• Previous leadership experience within manufacturing, chemical processing, industrial operations, distribution, logistics, or a related environment.
• Strong people leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to build trust across multiple departments and personalities.
• Experience managing supervisors, leads, and indirect teams in a fast-paced operational setting.
• Knowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance standards within manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Experience driving process improvements, operational excellence, lean initiatives, and performance metrics.
• Ability to balance hands-on floor leadership with strategic operational planning.
• ERP system experience; exposure to Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards, Dynamics, or similar enterprise platforms is preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Chemical manufacturing experience is highly desirable, although strong operations leaders from adjacent industries will also be considered.
