Senior HSE Manager This senior level position leads multiple HSE teams overseeing the implementation of health, safety, and environmental practices across construction and operational sites, with a focus on leadership and team development. Responsibilities Monitors progress and performance of multiple teams and safety programs, taking corrective action as necessary. Plans and assigns work for team members. Identifies, coaches, and develops future leaders and wider safety members. Aligns corporate safety strategy with field execution across construction and operational sites. Assesses training needs and develops targeted programs for teams and project sites. Facilitates communication between corporate EHS leadership, field teams, and frontline stakeholders to ensure consistent program implementation. Promotes accountability across business and field leadership. Serves as a liaison with cross‑functional teams to integrate safety into all phases of the data center lifecycle. Contributes to cross‑company initiatives related to safety, including resiliency, business continuity, ESG, and workforce engagement. Provides proactive, strategic safety insights to senior leadership on emerging risks and incident trends. Participates in pre‑construction meetings and develops site‑specific safety plans. Maintains a high level of expertise in company HSE standards, programs, and goals. Champions HSE standards across projects to foster a safe and productive environment. Partners with EHS training teams as a subject matter expert to ensure technical and regulatory competency. Supports additional EHS initiatives as assigned. Manages multiple priorities while delivering high‑quality support to internal stakeholders. Serves as a strategic contributor to the Health & Safety Program team, driving innovation and direction. Collaborates with global HSE and governance teams to develop proactive risk‑reduction strategies. Qualifications Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.). Experience with Oracle preferred. Excellent coaching, development, and management skills for HSE professionals. Ability to manage and de‑escalate difficult conversations and situations. Ability to build an organizational talent pipeline and develop future leaders. Professional interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time‑management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines. Expert analytical and problem‑solving skills. Experience prioritizing multiple tasks and adapting to changing priorities under time pressure. Self‑motivated, proactive, and an effective team player. Expert coaching abilities. Effective communication with all levels of employees, vendors, and clients. Requirements 4‑year related degree and 8 years related experience plus ASP certification; or 11 years relevant experience and SMS. Ability to spend 80% of working time on active construction sites. Travel: Up to 25% as needed. Working Conditions: General work environment involves sitting, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, and bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors under fluorescent lighting and air conditioning. Noise level is usually low to medium; it may be loud on the jobsite.
