HVAC Superintendent

Job Description Position Summary \n Southern Mechanical is seeking an experienced HVAC Superintendent to oversee the installation and execution of HVAC systems on multi-family construction projects. This position is responsible for managing daily field operations, supervising subcontracted labor, coordinating project schedules, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining compliance with safety standards and building codes. \n The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with extensive field experience who can effectively coordinate crews, anticipate project needs, and keep projects on schedule and within budget. \n Benefits \n \n $40–$50 per hour, based on experience and qualifications \n Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance \n Company-Paid Basic Life Insurance \n Short-Term & Long-Term Disability \n 401(k) Retirement Plan \n Paid Holidays \n Paid Time Off (PTO) \n Professional Development & Career Growth Opportunities \n \n \n Key Responsibilities \n \n Supervise and coordinate subcontracted HVAC installation crews \n Oversee all phases of HVAC installation, including underground rough-in, sleeve layout, top-out, and final installation \n Verify layout dimensions and measurements to ensure accuracy and quality \n Maintain daily field reports, labor tracking, and timekeeping using web-based software \n Track, receive, and manage project materials and inventory \n Forecast material requirements 2–3 weeks in advance to avoid project delays \n Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to maintain project schedules \n Conduct weekly jobsite meetings, safety meetings, and toolbox talks \n Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and applicable HVAC/building codes \n Monitor production, quality, and project progress while resolving field issues efficiently \n Assist in managing subcontracted plumbing labor as required \n Maintain accurate project documentation using project management software \n \n \n Qualifications \n Required \n \n Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HVAC Superintendent in commercial or multi-family construction. \n Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, installation methods, and applicable building codes. \n Experience managing multi-family construction projects. \n Proficiency with: \n \n Procore (or comparable construction management software) \n Raken \n Total Station \n \n Experience with: \n \n Underground rough-ins \n Sleeve layout \n Top-out coordination \n Material management and forecasting \n \n Basic computer proficiency and ability to work within web-based project management systems \n Valid Driver's License \n OSHA 30 Certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days of employment) \n \n \n Preferred \n \n Experience with multi-floor tension preferred \naa415a4b-8b21-40fc-a65c-70d2b25ca29a
