The Disability and Survivor Benefits Division (DSBD) is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our Post-Retirement Survivor Benefits Section as an Office Technician (General).

In this role, you'll play a key part in supporting our mission to provide timely and accurate survivor benefits to CalPERS members and their families. Working under the direction of a Supervisor I, you’ll help manage the daily clerical workflow that keeps our team running efficiently. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to support survivors during critical moments.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Reviewing and routing incoming mail workflow to the appropriate processing queues
• Distributing letters to financial institutions to recover overpayments
• Reviewing reports to identify cases requiring research, review, or further processing.
• Scanning and uploading documents received for assignment.

Telework Information: This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three days or more onsite, per week.

Effective July 1, 2025, The California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025). Statement of Qualifications
