About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Equity Research in the Biotech sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing and delivering research with a focus on providing differentiated market insights and actionable investment ideas. This includes the analysis of market, sector, corporate, and economic data to develop investment theses, as well as the presentation of research views to clients through various channels. The role also involves engaging with internal and external stakeholders to raise awareness of the research and ensure its compliance with regulatory standards. Applicants for the Associate Vice President role in Equity Research Biotech at the company should have a strong background in conducting detailed analysis and valuation of companies, proficiency in financial modeling, and a deep understanding of the biotech sector. Solid written and verbal communication skills are essential for effectively conveying research investment recommendations to clients. Highly valued skills include experience in healthcare investment banking, life sciences, or sell-side biotech research, familiarity with financial software and databases such as Bloomberg, and advanced Excel. A CFA designation or being in the process of obtaining one, as well as FINRA licensing, are also important qualifications for this role. The ideal candidate will be able to lead projects, mentor junior analysts, and demonstrate the ability to influence and convince stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
