Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Covington, TN is seeking a full-time pastor with a servant’s heart. The church values individuals who possess a deep love for God’s Word and His Church. This family-oriented, multi-generational congregation requires candidates to affirm the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 and to be called to preach and teach God’s Word. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to evangelism, discipleship, missions, pastoral care, and community outreach. - Preaching & Teaching
- Deliver biblically sound, engaging, and applicable sermons.
- Clearly communicate truth while encouraging personal application.
- Establish order of worship service.
Spiritual Leadership & Discipleship
- Provide vision aligned with the mission of the church.
- Foster spiritual growth and a culture of discipleship.
- Equip others to serve and lead.
- Demonstrate commitment to support the local association.
Pastoral Care
- Shepherd and care for the congregation.
- Exhibit relational, approachable, and present qualities.
- Accompany individuals and families through life’s challenges.
