Responsibilities The Electrician will perform skilled electrical work in the inspection, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. Vacancy/Position Specs Working Location: Physical Plant Operations – 4860 Ruffner Street, San Diego, CA 92111 Work Schedule: 12 months per year / 40 hours per week Salary: This position is paid on the OSS Salary Schedule. Grade 050. Minimum monthly salary range: $6,541.15 to $7,948.83 Positions 20 hours per week or greater qualify for District‑paid health and wellness benefits for the employee and their eligible dependents. Vacancies requiring bilingual skills will be noted. Bilingual positions qualify for a 5% bilingual differential. Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience: Completion of a recognized four‑year electrical apprentice training program and a minimum of four years diversified journeyman‑level electrician experience. Possession of a valid California driver’s license and a valid State of California General Journeyman Electrician certification (attach certification). Possession of hand tools common to the trade.
