Job Description
As a Security Officer Access Support in Pontiac, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech location where you will monitor access points, verify credentials, and support security-related protocols for employees, visitors, and deliveries. This role blends visibility, communication, and customer service while helping to deter incidents and promote smooth daily operations. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, visitor management protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
- Respond to incidents, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant security-related details.
- Communicate with employees, guests, and site contacts regarding entry requirements, badge procedures, deliveries, and/or lobby access expectations.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting unusual activity and reporting maintenance, access, and/or security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
