IT Systems Analyst - EPIC Clinical Applications

Job Summary Your job is more than a job. The Systems Analyst performs a variety of technical work associated with analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate clinical functions or to improve existing information technology systems. The role involves developing the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), ancillary applications, and inter‑related systems to meet user and regulatory standards, and to meet the needs of the system. The Analyst designs and builds within assigned application/system to support providers, staff, and patients, and assists in developing tools that ensure security and efficiency. Responsibilities Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate clinical functions or improve existing IT systems. Develop Electronic Medical Record (EMR), ancillary applications, and interrelated systems to meet regulatory and user requirements. Design and build systems to meet the needs of providers, staff, and patients. Assist in developing tools that enable healthcare delivery while ensuring security and efficiency. Apply analytical skills to design, build and install upgrades or new implementations. Troubleshoot application issues to determine best resolution. Perform maintenance tasks for assigned applications as required. Review and test changes in newly released software to ensure integrity. Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and other required areas. Meet all project deadlines. Communicate effectively with leadership and customers regarding progress and potential risk. Prepare detailed programming and/or integration specifications as required. Qualifications High School Diploma/GED or equivalent OR 2 years of work experience. Preferably 3 years of hands‑on experience with support of LCMC Health’s legacy application systems, programming, and/or system integration support. Preferably a Bachelor's Degree.
