Vice President Information Technology

Our organization is an innovative model designed to drive Credit Unions to world-class services. We are a shared service created by credit unions. We are looking for a leader to enhance our IT operations and drive our Clients’ customers’ (we call them members) experience. Our business is growing and we have some very ambitious plans. We are looking for a leader who can scale up our IT services to the next level. The job is located in or around the New Jersey area. The company intends to have a blend of onsite and remote presence for the foreseeable future. The role does involve occasional travel to clients’ locations which are located in New Jersey, Western Massachusetts, and Hudson, N.Y. We have a hybrid model of in-house personnel and outsourced services through a third-party MSP, located in India. The VP of IT role is to lead and manage day-to-day operational aspects of the IT business unit, helping to ensure availability, scalability, and risk mitigation, under the direction of senior leadership. The VP of IT will also support the migration of new clients. Desired background · Thorough knowledge of hardware system, system software, networks and application software development. · Must have excellent resource management, project planning and communication skills. · 10 years prior management experience preferably involving multiple clients and remote teams. · Experience with managing offshore MSPs. · Previous financial services experience preferred. Essential competencies · Proactive, service-oriented, client management skills · Proven ability to manage remote teams. · Strong analytical and quantitative abilities; strong bias towards data-based decision making and comfort with financial analysis. · Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to effectively work cross-organizationally. · Results driven and execution oriented · Excellent communication and influencing skills, both written and verbal · Quick learner, flexible, comfort with ambiguity · Fluent in written and spoken English Specific Responsibilities. · Help manage the IT business unit to meet service level commitments. · Effectively operate in a multi-tenant matrixed environment. · Manage a remote team located in different parts of the USA and globally. · Solutions architecture and engineering, with a focus on network, applications, security, and cloud-based solutions · Manage on-premise and cloud-based services. · Meet security requirements in a highly regulated, security-centric environment. · Effectively interact with technology auditors and resolve audit findings in a timely manner. · Strong verbal and written communication skills. · Lead and manage all key aspects of IT infrastructure including: · Firewalls. · Security monitoring. · Network monitoring. · On premise and cloud-based phone environment. · On premise and cloud-based disaster recovery environment. · 24x7 high availability platforms. · Service desk ticket platforms Education, Experience & Qualifications · College level education with a degree. · 15 years work experience in IT. · Ten years of management/leadership experience. · Must be analytical, detail-oriented, organized, motivated, and flexible. · Demonstrated customer service and written communication skills. Salary commensurate with experience with an expected range of $190,000-$210,000/annually.
