Patient Care Technician

The position involves providing direct patient care, supporting clinical procedures, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient care environment. Teamwork, participation in training, and quality improvement initiatives are essential to uphold a “Patients First” approach. Qualifications & Skills Candidates must hold a CNA certification or be enrolled in nursing school with completed clinical rotations, and possess CPR/BLS certifications. Strong soft skills include flexibility, organization, multitasking, critical thinking, and composure in stressful situations. Successful completion of annual health and safety training with a 90% score is required. Key Duties Assist with admissions, discharges, hygiene, feeding, mobility, vital signs, specimen collection, and newborn care. Support procedures such as EKGs, fetal monitoring, phlebotomy, oxygen setup, and post-op care. Document patient observations accurately and report changes promptly. Maintain a clean environment, stock supplies, and handle patient belongings. Engage in team meetings, training, and quality initiatives to promote a patient-centered culture. Flexible shifts include part-time (two 12-hour shifts weekly) and full-time (three 12-hour shifts weekly), with rotating weekends.
