The Gill Corporation is seeking a Packer/Shipper I to construct pallets, label & pack panels, cores or other materials in preparation for shipping. Reporting to the Shipping Manager, they will perform but not be limited to the following responsibilities. Assembles wooden skids using tools, wood product and other materials according to required packaging codes. Completes product count and ensures type and quantity as it conforms to internal pack list. Generate shipping labels for packages. Must be accurate and validate or verify data prior to labels Packs finished product into boxes or drums, using strapping or tape. Applies labels for shipping. Must be able to use tools such as bench saw, table saw, hammer, nails, nail gun, staple gun, glue gun, and steel strapping, etc. Must know how to read and follow internal shipping instructions, make stamps or labels have knowledge of company products. Must be available to work any shift, over-time and weekends. Must keep product and all work areas neat and clean Performs other duties as assigned.
