Career Area Engineering Job Summary Solar Turbines Inc. offers a position in the Custom Solutions Engineering group for a motivated Mechanical Design Engineer. The role suits those who thrive in fast‑paced project execution, delivering creative and high‑performing design solutions. Job Accountabilities The successful candidate will:

• Create Creo designs of turbo machinery package systems and components per the project ACS definition, including fuel, lube, start, and other sub‑systems that support the package.
• Design custom piping, hoses, and bracketry.
• Own the content, accuracy, and timeliness of the Mechanical Interface Drawing (MID) and overall mechanical definition for production and customers.
• Produce bills of materials and drawings to support production.
• Provide high‑level support, coordination, and communication to other design and support organizations; coordinate with purchasing and suppliers to specify custom components and resolve technical issues from the field.
• Participate in inter‑departmental and corporate process improvement initiatives such as Lean.
• Apply analysis techniques to design structures, piping systems, and other package components, with a basic understanding of structural analysis, system design, and turbine applications and installation.
