Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital position requiring at least 1 year of inpatient acute care experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Acute Care Hospital setting within a large, 536-bed short-term acute care teaching hospital
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM
• Weekend rotation required, approximately 4 weekend days per month
• Block schedule required
• Floating between units required
• Epic charting system used

Requirements

• Valid OT license required if applicable
• Compact license must be active and in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Inpatient acute care hospital experience required
• Large acute care hospital experience and employment background preferred
• Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• NBCOT certification required
• Epic charting experience required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include billing/documentation, assessment, evaluation, discharge planning, plan of care, and reassessments
• Duties include home exercise programs, lifting and transfers, patient/family education, safety and injury prevention, and telephone communication
• Scrubs of any color accepted; OR/Cath Lab scrubs provided
• No parking fees at this facility
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
• Returning former staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for standard travel rate
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
