As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients, managing front desk operations including patient check-ins and check-outs. Your role involves handling insurance verification, filing, appointment scheduling, and maintaining accurate records using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Strong organizational skills, quick thinking, and computer proficiency are essential, with optical experience considered a significant advantage. Typical working hours are Monday 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Tuesday to Thursday 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, and Friday 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently
- Verify patient insurance details accurately
- Maintain and organize filing systems
- Schedule patient appointments and manage calendar
- Enter patient data and maintain records using EHR systems
- Provide excellent customer service to patients
- Handle phone communications professionally
- Operate office computer systems effectively
