Collection Specialist
Location: Gulfport, MS
Pay: $14.00/hour

Job Summary


A local automotive dealership is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Collection Clerk to assist with customer account collections and payment processing. This position requires excellent communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to maintain positive customer relationships while collecting outstanding balances.


Key Responsibilities
Contact customers regarding past-due accounts by phone and email
Process payments and update customer account records
Maintain accurate documentation of collection activities
Work with customers to resolve payment issues and establish payment arrangements
Research and reconcile account discrepancies
Prepare collection reports and maintain organized records
Provide excellent customer service while following company policies
Perform other administrative duties as assigned


Qualifications


Strong communication and negotiation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
Strong problem-solving and time management skills


Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous collections, customer service, or accounts receivable experience preferred
